Is it coincidence on the same night a Toronto player wins the slam dunk contest?
Yes, I have that kind of power
LOL
My gosh, what a BEAUTIFUL arena. Gorgeous. People were friendly, they didn't kick the crap out of Senators fans, and they were quite polite! Sporting my Guelph Doughty Jersey, fans were very friendly. Almost too friendly. Is everyone in Toronto this nice? Well, nobody bought me a 15.75 dollar beer...
The pre game show, everyone was kind of quiet. It was great to see the 1963 Stanley Cup champions brought in on Ford convertibles. As the tires were spinning out of control, I couldn't help but wonder what a disaster it would be if any of the old timers fell off the back and cracked their head open on the ice. I love the Canadian flag being passed along the people in the stands.
I thought Ottawa would come out with some emotion given they just lost a 2nd superstar to injury, but they were as flat as Olive Oyl. Toronto and their youngsters got things going early and by the end it made for a very happy evening.
The platinum lounge is just plain sick. Lots of wine and cool people. The bar across the street with a 3 story TV screen was icing on the cake, and Toronto women are very pretty.
And I got to see snow! Being from L.A. the only snow you see goes up celebrities noses.
Yes, my sack has crawled into my pelvic cavity as it's colder than my wife when she's PMS'ing, but this is a great city. If I didn't have to work tomorrow, I wouldn't be sitting here somewhat entertaining you, I'd be out partying.
But I'm old, so I'll pop two tylenol and call it a night.
Back to whining and complaining about the Kings tomorrow.
Cheers
